Should the Packers Trade Greg Jennings?

The end usually creeps up out of nowhere.  Rarely do you ever get the chance to offset what has already been set in motion.  This is one of the inevitabilities of NFL life.  Greg Jennings may experiencing “the end”, one way or another.  Lost in the daily fawning over Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay juggernaut is the fact that Pro Bowl wide out Greg Jennings has been unable to finish three of the last four games he has played in dating back to Week 14 of the 2011 season.  He exited that contest with a sprained MCL.  He would return a few weeks later for the Packers NFC Divisional Round loss to the Giants, a game which he exited early with a rib injury.  This past Sunday versus the 49ers, Jennings suffered a groin injury that may keep him out of tonight’s matchup with division rival Chicago Bears.  All of this lost time has to be weighing on the minds of the Packers front office. Will This Be Greg Jennings’ Final Season In Green Bay?

Greg Jennings thrust himself onto the scene during his rookie year back in 2006 by catching Brett Favre’s 400th touchdown pass early in the season.  One Super Bowl victory and two Pro Bowl appearances later, it’s safe to say that Greg Jennings has become a stalwart presence within the organization.  Could that be set to change?  With his contract set to expire at the end of this season, Jennings has his future in mind as he approaches what could very well be his final season in green and gold.
