Vikings Owner Expects Division Title In 2012

Even with his team coming off of a 3-13 season, Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf is expecting big things from his team.

From ESPN 1500 in Minnesota:

“I expect to be (NFC North) division champs,” Wilf said Tuesday as the Vikings went through an afternoon practice. “I want to be able to fight for the division, as we always did every year, and get better for years to come. That’s always been our goal and it’s been the goal since the first day I came here.”

The Vikings are 9-23 over the last two seasons and have not resembled the team that made it to the 2009 NFC Title game in quite a while. ┬áMaybe they have a shot at creeping up on the Lions, who can’t seem to stay out of trouble. ┬áBut I’m having a hard time imagining them competing at the tip of the NFC North. where the Bears and Packers are sure to reign.
