  • Doug Martin (RB), Tampa Bay Buccaneers – ” … running back Doug Martin looks — at least for now — like the Bucs’ primary running back … And here’s something else about Martin, the first-round pick from Boise State: He is showcasing his quick burst at the line of scrimmage, showing his ability to decisively hit holes, then use his speed to make defenders miss in the second level. That speed and quickness gives the Bucs the option to use more tosses and perimeter runs, things they haven’t been able to utilize much with [LaGarrette] Blount who lacks comparable speed.”
  • Stevan Ridley (RB), New England Patriots – “Stevan Ridley continues to look fast and decisive and really comfortable in the offense.”
  • Eric Decker (WR), Denver Broncos – “Too bad for Peyton Manning and Eric Decker the regular season is still six weeks away. The quarterback and receiver are working together like they were ready yesterday. On a one-on-one red zone drill, Manning threw a well-timed back-shoulder pass with zip. Decker was blanketed by rookie corner Omar Bolden but the receiver turned as the ball was at his head, fell back and made a terrific catch as he landed on his backside. • Randall Cobb (WR), Green Bay Packers – “According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Randall Cobb has “made more big plays” than any of the Packers’ wide receivers so far in camp”
  • Kyle Rudolph (TE), Minnesota Vikings – “Kyle has had a great offseason,” Vikings Offensive Coordinator Bill Musgrave said. “He has gained strength without losing any movement. He is one of the guys that we are going to count on to contribute who wasn’t a full-time starter last year.”
