Brandon Marshall Anticipates Hollywood Ending With Cutler Reunion

Check the archives.  Search the history.  I’ve made it no secret that I’m expecting huge things from the Chicago Bears this season.  Lovie Smith is equipped with the most talented roster ever assembled under his watch.  Brandon Marshall reuniting with for Denver pals Jay Cutler and Jeremy Bates is a big part of this season playing out successfully.  That fact was not lost on Marshall.

From Dan Hanzus of NFL.com’s Around the League blog:

 “I think when it’s all said and done there may be a book or a movie written about it,” Marshall told NFL Network’s Stacey Dales on Thursday. “Honestly, it just doesn’t happen in sports where you see a franchise quarterback you know traded. Top receiver traded. Offensive coordinator fired.

“We had a core group of guys there that had everything to win and to see some of those pieces come back together, some big pieces like Jay and I and Jeremy, it’s unheard of.”

A movie or book deal may be stretching things a bit, but it’s great to see how much enthusiasm Marshall holds for this upcoming season.  Time will tell if Marshall and Bears fans are disappointed.  In the meantime, the count down to Week 1 continues – only 40 days left …

  1. Prediction: Marshall becomes the most beloved deranged/goofy/outspoken/just-me-being-me Chicago Bear since Bryan Cox.

    • I’m convinced Marshall could go on a multi-state baby punching spree and we’d still love him because Chicago has never had a receiver this talented to root for
